Heli Skiing in Manali Himachal Pradesh

The picturesque hill station of Manali located in the Kulu Valley of Himachal Pradesh is no longer a tourist destination for just visiting monasteries and temples. It has grown phenomenally as a globally popular hub for adventure tourism too. In recent years, one of the main aspects of this adventure tourism is heli-skiing. In this adventure sport, you board a helicopter to get airlifted to high slopes and mountain  tops & you then ski down the slopes.

Kufri, Himachal Pradesh

Kufri is a small hill station in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh. It is known as the 'Switzerland of India' thanks to its lovely ski spots suitable for beginners. There are 2 pistes and 1 surface lift. The summit is approx. 2500m and the vertical drop is just short of 480m. The best time to visit for skiing is during the months of December and January. If you visit in January, you will get to enjoy the National Snow Statue competition in Kufri. You can also walk up to the Mahasu Peak.
