The Golden Chariot luxury train is operated by the Karnataka State Tourism Development Corporation (KSTDC).

Routes of the Golden Chariot Tourist Train

1. Bangalore - Kabini - Srirangapatnam - Mysore - Shravanabelagola - Belur - Halebid - Hampi - Badami - Pattadakal - Goa

This is the 'Pride of the South' journey of 8 days and 7 nights through the entire State of Karnataka .

2. Bangalore - Chennai - Pondicherry - Tanjavur - Madurai - Thiruvananthpuram - Alleppey - Kochi.

This is the 'Southern Splendour' journey of 7 nights and 8 days through 3 States of South India - Karntaka, Tamil Nadu & Kerala.

Ticket Rates of the Golden Chariot Tourist Train

* Single occupancy for 7 night per person: INR 110600 (Jan-March for Indian nationals only)

* Single occupancy for 7 night per person: INR 119700 (April-March2011 for Indian nationals only)

Additional Notes:

1. Half fare for children between 5 and 12 years

2. 10% Surcharge shall be levied on departures during Christmas / New Year

3. Service Tax @ 2.58% shall be levied on the prevalent tariff of The Golden Chariot as per Govt. of India norms.

4. The Tariff includes: accommodation on board The Golden Chariot / travel / all meals / Conducted Sight-seeing Tours / Entrance fees at Monuments / Parks / Palaces and Cultural Programmes.
5. The Tariff does not include: Drinks, tips, laundry, telephone calls, video camera fees, SPA Car, Business Car Facilities, liquor and other items of personal nature.
