Breakfast at Flurys Kolkata

I first heard of Flurys, Kolkata in the film Parineeta, in which the losing team of a game of cards treats the winning team to an evening out at Flurys. Some time back, the building where Flurys was located - St.Stephen Court - was partially engulfed in flames. Did Flurys shut down? No way! Flury's is a venerable landmark of Kolkata, much like the Victoria Memorial. So Flury's just shifted to new premises a little distance away from its original spot.

Staying in Kolkata Homestays: Sunflower Guest House

When visiting Kolkata, capital city of West Bengal, India, I would recommend just one place: Sunflower Guest House.

Before I tell you of this wonderful homestay, though, here's an important tip: you need to show some ID to book accommodation at the Sunflower Guest House. Indians, foreigners, adults, kids - ALL must have some ID. For your kids you can take along their school ID or passport.
