Diwali is such a beautiful festival of lights and colours. However, sometimes even something beautiful can get a touch of ugliness. The ugly aspect of Diwali is the air and noise pollution that is caused by firecrackers. Let me assure that I don’t celebrate Diwali by lighting firecrackers!
I celebrate Diwali in a quiet manner and with the traditional diya lighting, putting small paper kandeels and a toran at my door, and making rangolis to be placed outside my home.
