The
Republic Day Parade in Mumbai, Maharashtra is held at the
Shivaji Park grounds in the heart of the city. It is not on the same grand scale as the Republic Day India parade held in the capital city of New Delhi, but nevertheless is an impressive sight. Personnel of the Mumbai Police, Fire Brigade and Navy cadets as well as local school children smartly participate in the march past dressed in their uniformed best. Armoured vehicles are also part of the parade. A well-orchestrated musical band sets the tunes for the grand parade.
